Welcome to a brand-new year here at REFORM SCHOOL NINJA GIRLS! 2013 is going to be huge for the girls as we are finishing up the art for their debut issue!
You can hear some of the latest details at the Accidental Survivors Podcast, where Fraser and Chris had Corey on board to talk about the girls (among a zillion other things including Mars, topless nuns and dinosaurs).

Eri winning first, second and third in the Annual Academy Inter-Clan Combat Championship. Ristuko is not so much celebrating — can YOU find her?
And to go with the celebratory theme of a brand-new year, here’s another school photo from the Academy yearbook. Obviously a NINJA SCHOOL has some pretty tough competitions, but none so hard-core as the Annual Academy Inter-Clan Combat Championship. Open to all students, and with the only restriction being “no edged weapons”, the free-for-all is a spectacular frenzy of teenage mayhem.
Eri Nakayama, to no one’s surprise, was the last student standing at the end of the whole thing, with scarcely a bruise to be seen on her. The young warrior from the Shadow Claw Clan is famous for her extraordinary skill at hurting and disabling people, and even without her swords, Eri is a whirlwind of deadliness.
But Eri wasn’t the only friend of ours to enter the Championship. For some reason, little Ritsuko thought it would be, uh, fun. She’s there in the photo, too, although looking a little less combobulated than her friend. Can you find her?

Bwa-ha. I love that she’s wearing all three medals.
I see what looks like Ritsuko’s goggles and hair by the back wall just above Eri’s left shoulder…?
Yup, that’s her! Not sure what inspired Ritsuko to enter the competition, but I don’t think it went very well for her.
The “Eri Nakayama Fan Club” went a little crazy on this page in the yearbook!
